I had a blood test yesterday and in the afternoon my nurse called my cell, home and sent an email all in one minute! I thought something was definitely wrong!! Shocker!! My body is being totally stubborn and my estrogen levels were half of what they should be. The dr typically gradually increases the number of patches over a couple days. Not me we jumped right to three a day and a pill!

Here we go
Were finally in the final process now. Today is day two, tomorrow I add in estrogen patches and baby asprin. The injections are going great its a super small amount and just and insulin needle, I've done all of them on my own :)
A week ago I had a bad dream about the boys and I've spent the last week working through that and getting back to a positive place. The other day my grandma reminded me that granpa is up there helping me, and I found comfort in that as sad as it is. I do miss him!
Shad is flying me out to see my girls on the first, so that's been a great distraction! Im so looking forward to it! Its great timing too! Once I get back its less then two weeks away.
Im going to do my best to keep my mind busy and control the anxiety as best as I can. Im going to plan vacations. I read its more relaxing for your body then the actual trip. And listen to an audio book or two... on my way to SC im going to read a book (recommended by Cari) on meditation! We will see how that goes! My next doctor appointment is the 30th just to monitor progress before we increase meds.

Final embryo update
We ended up with 8 good, frozen embryos. That sounded low to me, especially since the last I heard was 17. But she said 8 is above average so that is great. They froze three yesterday and five today, once they were at the blasotcyst stage.
I could be octomom! Just kidding!
Our transfer will be April 15th!!
(I won't post anything else for about three weeks until we get going again)

Embryo update
Today is day three and the embryologist called with our second update. She said at this point they like the embryos have 6 to 10 cells. She said "yours are doing really really well" of the 17 we have, 14 of them are at that point :)
Will will get a last update in three days, on how many they will freeze.

Embryos
We started with 22 eggs, when the embryologist came to talk to us yesterday he explained that Dr. Schoolcraft wanted to do a proceedure where you inject the sperm into the egg on half, and let the other half fertilize on there own.
On the first half, out of 11 we had 9 mature and 8 that fertilized. On the second group we had 10 mature and nine that fertilized. That gives us a total of 17 embryos! We will get a day 3 update and they will freeze at day five which is the blast stage.

Retrieval
Retrieval went well. Iv went in pretty smooth! It only took her once, thats a first for me! It was pretty excruciating pain when I woke up, im so thankful for pain meds and heating pads!
We got 22 eggs, not sure how many are mature yet. We will have an update tomorrow.
I am pushing hyper stimulating, Estrogen is above 4000 right now so lots of liquids and sodium and hope for the best.
